We're cruising again!
In three weeks!
(I don't recommend booking so last-minute like we did, but we didn't have much of a choice- big news...I was just offered a new job! I start right when we get back!)
So we'll be on the Valor on February 20 sailing towards Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. Shore excursion recommendations are very much appreciated! I have my eye on visiting some Mayan ruins :)

Just a note about Cozumel: We are not big drinkers but this excursion has been recommended b/c you see much more of the island, beautiful beaches and it stops at a recommended restaurant.

ReplyDeleteSo I have to revisit your blog and let you know we were so dissapointed in how crappy the Miracle looked, and the service just was not up to the carnival standard. We went on a Disney the same day we got off Miracle, which totally made up for it......but...
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a good time on the Valor, but we wont be back on Carnival. We understand how much more money other lines are, but we now also understand how we're really getting our monies worth when we pay that extra.
A ships visual maintainance should be number one. If its an old ship, it should still be clean and in working order.
I did this cruise a couple of years ago. Love the Valor, loved the ports. I just did the Cozuzmel Bar Hop last month and it was a lot of fun. The time before I did the Amazing Cozumel Race - also lots of fun. Do the Altun Ha Ruins and River Wallace tour in Belize. If you go to Gumbalimba Park in Roatan to see the monkeys, make sure you go in the morning; they're asleep in the afternoon. No suggestions for GC. Have a great time. Can't wait to read your review when you get back.
